Languages

English is the official language of Australia. , English is the only language spoken at home 80% of the Australian population. Also spoken:
Chinese (2.1%)
Italian (1.9%)
Greek (1.4%).
It is believed that about 200 and 300 old Australian languages existed before the first European contact. Only 70 have survived, and 50 are endangered.

Religion


There haven't official state religion. The 2006 census reported that :
68% of Australians
Christians: 26%
Catholics and 19%
Anglicans( no religion). 19%
12% did not respond .
5% were of non-Christian religion.

Education



Education is compulsory throughout Australia, from 6 to 15 years old. Australian education is the eighth best in the wolrd about 58% of Australians between 25 and 64 years have university or vocational qualifications.


Culture

Since 1788, the foundation of culture is culture austrliana anglocelta.
Australian visual arts have a long history, the first cave paintings were the (antepassats). The traditions of (abantpassats) been transmitted orally and are related to the ceremonies and stories of dreams.
Australia has an active tradition of music, ballet and theater, most Arts companies receive public funding through Council of Australian federal governmen.
